BIO.

 

Alvaro’s curiosity with a camera began in his childhood years when his forbidden obsession was to use his Dads camera. The moment he took his first photograph, he knew that this photo would be imprinted in time and ever since his taste for light and composition did not stop.

This made him known new styles, and at the end of the 90's during his final years of high school, he took the photojournalism path, working in "El Tiempo" the main newspaper of his country and publishing his work for over a year in this print media company.

​

He decided to study Film Production in Colombia and Argentina and since 2005 he has worked in the different fields of the film industry, from casting, production assistance, still photography, direction assistance, production, to camera assistant, focus puller, digital imaging technician and director of photography, making feature films, TV commercials and documentaries learning the operation, respect and rigor of the creative industry and the film set.

He has participated in various film projects such as: Sonic The Hedgehog for Paramount Pictures and TwoFour54 (2019 - DIT), The Land and The Shade, winner of Caméra d'or in Cannes Film Festival (2015 - DIT), Arab Hope Maker, TV Series - Season 2 (2018 - Director of Photography) as well as TV commercials and Content Creator for Huawie P30 Pro (2019 - Director of Photography), Choppard Eyes Wear (2019 - Director of Photography), among others.
