Seasoned filmmaker and photographer with an extensive career spanning two decades in the film and still photography industry. Born and raised in Colombia, I bring a unique blend of cultural perspective and creative flair to my work. Over the past 10 years, I’ve established myself in the U.A.E industry as a Freelancer Content Creator, Director of Photography, Creative Producer, Broadcasting Director and Digital Imaging Technical Director.
From my earliest days, I’ve been fueled by curiosity, often sneaking moments with my father’s camera to capture the world around me. Since then, my passion for photography and its ability to communicate has only grown stronger. In the late 1990s, during my final years of high school, I delved into photojournalism at "El Tiempo," the prominent newspaper in my country, where I contributed for couple of years.
Motivated by my passion for the arts, I pursued studies in Film Production in Colombia and Argentina. Since 2005, I've been actively involved in various roles within the film industry, including casting, production assistance, still photography, direction assistance, production, camera operation, and more. This diverse experience has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the creative process and the disciplined nature of film sets.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of contributing to notable projects both in the U.A.E and internationally. As a Digital Imaging Technician (D.I.T.), I have worked on acclaimed projects such as "The Land and The Shade," which won the Caméra d'or at the Cannes Film Festival, and with TwoFour54 on high-profile projects including "Sonic The Hedgehog" for Paramount Pictures, as well as campaigns for Dubai Tourism, Rita Ora, Dodge, Apple, Nike, Interpol, Givenchy, Quaker, among others.
In my roles as Director of Photography, Content Creator, Creative Producer, and Director, I have been involved in documentaries such as "Arab Hope Maker" (Season 2) for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, and projects for Philip Morris International "INFINIUM Docs" and Citibank's "Hidden Riches." I have also worked with renowned brands like TikTok MENA - ByteDance China, Huawei P30 Pro, Chopard Eyewear, Thermomix, Claire Magazine Arabia, among others.
As a Broadcast Director and Video Content Creator, I have collaborated with clients such as Al Sayegh, Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai World Cup, Nakheel, and Tiger Properties. I oversee live event production, ensuring seamless execution and captivating content delivery, while also creating dynamic event highlight reels and promotional videos through meticulous planning, filming, and advanced editing techniques.
